FOUR DAYS IN SIWA
Day 1 · 2 August · The eclipse in Siwa
Meet at Almaza Airport at 7:00 am for a flight scheduled around 8:00 am. After arrival and a transfer to your ecolodge, join the Stanly team at the farm for the eclipse. The reserved area includes shaded seating, space for photography, refreshments and a barbecue lunch. Return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 2 · 3 August · The temples and springs of the oasis
Visit the Mountain of the Dead, the Temple of the Oracle and the ruins of the Temple of Amun. Continue towards Dakrour Mountain and pause at Cleopatra’s Spring for a Siwan drink. In the evening, enjoy a Moroccan-style buffet at Taziry Hotel.
Day 3 · 4 August · Salt lakes and the Great Sand Sea
Spend the morning at the salt lakes, then explore Shali Fortress. Set off by 4×4 for Bir Wahed and a cold desert lake. Try sandboarding, share Siwan tea at sunset and stay for a candlelit dinner under the stars.
Day 4 · 5 August · Return to Cairo
After breakfast, check out and travel by air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo International Airport.
